Our farm (20 ha) is since generations a family run business.
We have cows and calfs, horses, ponies, sheep, rabbits, guiny pigs, chicks, ducks, a pig, cats and a dog.

  • observing the farm animals and the various works which have to be done
  • pets who like your attention
  • smell of the freshly cut hay
  • collecting the newly laid eggs of the hens

a Mekka for every winter sports enthusiast.

There are ski slopes for alpine skiers in the entire region. They are all within short distances to reach (5-20 minutes), by ski bus or by car. The Planai, for example, host of the 2013 Alpine Ski World Championships is to be seen right from our balconies… In alliance with the Planai the skiresorts of Hauser Kaibling, Hochwurzen and Reiteralm are forming the The 4-Mountain interconnected ski region, one of the biggest skiing resort of Europe. The Rittisberg is not only home to steep slopes but also a wonderfully sun-flooded, flat slope as well as the “Zwergerl-Lift“, a theme slope especially for kids and beginners.
At nighttime there is also the option of trying out the night-toboggan-run at Rittisberg.

220 km of cross country and skating tracks, which are freshly prepared every day make Ramsau an ‘El Dorado’ for cross-country skiers.
You enter the tracks, which offer all levels of difficulties, just outside our farm.

Winter in Ramsau is a very special time of the year. Given to its south-facing, all-day sunbound exposure high above the clouds in the valley, the flat highlands offer landscapes and sceneries which look just like out of a fairytale.

Right in front of Eggerhof there are starting points for well marked routes through the fantastic landscape of Ramsau. Maps are available in our house.

All around Eggerhof there's plenty of space to get lost in the great whiteout ...
Snow covered fields and mountains give the country a magic touch. Nevertheless, we provide for cleared roads and parking spaces around the farm house, which usually results in a big snow mountain just outside in the garden. For kids an ideal place to play, taking much of their energy!

Some equipment can be provided by us, on request.

Simply enjoy the winter sun

There's special magic in the soft and gentle touch the sun has to offer in the high altitudes of the mountains.

Ramsau has - due to its special geography - one of the highest rates of sunny days and hours out of all alpine regions.
Sometimes less is more and a simple day outside in snow and sun is all you need!

With a bit of luck and some help of "Mother Hulda", all of this will be provided for you completely for free...
